Breckenridge, Colorado Discounted Ski Lift Pass Tickets and Season Passes

Discounted ski lift tickets for the general public are available through select King Soopers grocery stores, Safeway grocery stores, Summit County local merchants and online through the Peaks Rewards program. Note: We will do our best to keep you posted of any ski lift ticket discount promotions, but given they are not within our control, check www.snow.com or call the Breckenrdige resort at 970-453-5000 for the most current information.

The discounts for ski lift passes at King Soopers and Safeway start at $3 off the normal price for a one day pass and gradually increase for multi-day passes. If you are coming in from Denver, there is a King Soopers (303-238-6486) at the Southeast corner of the intersection of Youngfield (exit 264) and I-70. This is on the western side of Denver shortly before you begin the climb up into the mountains. (For people looking for discounted liquor, there is also a discount liquor store, Applejacks, in the same shopping area.) If you prefer to wait until you get to Summit County to get your discounted lift tickets, there is a Safeway at the intersection of Hwy 9 South (the exit for Breckenridge) and I-70. There are multiple other merchants in Denver and around Summit County that offer discounted lift tickets. They are all at the same level of discounting and pricing.

The other option for discounted ski lift passes is through the Peaks Reward program. It is offered through Vail Resorts Management Company, the owners of Vail, Beavercreek, Keystone, Breckenridge, A-Basin and Heavenly. You can join by going to a guest services office at the base of any of the ski resorts or by registering online: Peaks Rewards. The discount varies depending on how many days you ski, how far in advance you purchase the tickets, the period in the season in which you ski and the particular resort you choose. Worst case is that you get the same discount you get at the local merchants offering discounted tickets. Best case is that you get $37 off the daily lift ticket price.

To get the best discount available, register in the Peak Rewards program online at least 7 days in advance. Being a member of the Peaks Rewards program also allows you to accrue points which can add up to free lift pass tickets over time.

There is one other option for next season for those that can be in Summit County in the fall. Full season passes are available in the fall at a significantly discounted price from normal ski season passes and rates. In the fall, normally in late October, the season pass offices open for two weekends for the locals to buy a Buddy Pass. These passes are good for one full season. They are normally priced around $300 for adults and less for students. You must be physically present to buy a pass as they check your ID and take your picture. However, once you appear in person and buy a buddy pass, you can then renew it online in subsequent years. At normal discounted lift ticket prices, you can usually justify buying a buddy pass if you ski five or more days per year.

Lift ticket pricing, the Buddy Pass, the Peaks Reward program and other resort information for Breckenridge, Keystone and A-Basin can all be found at www.snow.com or by calling the resort at 970-453-5000.
